 That could be done. syslog-ng does provide evtlog.h, evtmaps.h, and
 libevtlog.dylib, like the eventlog port did. But the headers are in a
 different directory, and the eventlog.pc file that the eventlog port
 provided is not provided by the syslog-ng port. So anyone using the old
 eventlog will need to make changes to find the corresponding files in
 syslog-ng.
