 I downloaded the arm64/aarch64 binary (​https://github.com/ldc-
 developers/ldc/releases/download/v1.40.1/ldc2-1.40.1-osx-arm64.tar.xz)

 and I get segmentation faults when trying to run an executable compiled
 with that compiler.

 So now, I am using a Linux Docker container from Dlang , set up for dmd,
 that apparently works on both AMD/Intel (64) and arm64 (??), as a
 workaround.

 an attempt at installing the current dmd port fails as shown in the
 attachment.
