 True. The VLC version coming with the port cover both versions. My problem
 with that was that I tried to compile another software using the VLC
 coming with the port and I faced the problem that the linker complained
 that the libs which are for the {{{x86_64}}} architecture. I'm on
 {{{arm64}}}.\\
 My next try was then to compile {{{vlc}}} from source and faced the
 problems described above, a few months ago.\\
 Trying to compile the libraries, to be able to compile {{{vlc}}}, the
 Makefiles expect again the {{{arm64}}} libraries in my {{{vlc}}}
 installation.\\
 To compile {{{vlc}}} from source I need the libraries for {{{arm64}}}
 architecture, to compile the libraries I need {{{vlc}}} for {{{arm64}}}
 architecture.\\
 At https://www.videolan.org I get the {{{arm64}}} executable but not the
 libraries for {{{arm64}}}.
