We have always discussed on the mailing lists that support for older
operating systems is optional, and maintainers are not required to spend
time on them. You seem to be upset that I'm actually refusing to invest
time, despite the general tone that support of older OSes for maintainers
is optional. That doesn't make sense to me.
I am not familiar with the line required to add to the Portfile, because I
don't support any operating system where a C11 compiler is not available.
If you already know what needs to be done, open a pull request, not a
ticket.
