Comment (by kencu):

 the cpp fix is only needed for Leopard (and, I guess, 10.6-PPC, which is
 Leopard wearing glasses).

 It does nothing on 10.4, and 10.6 (Intel) already defines it, as those
 builds succeeded without it.
