 I have been able to fix the `glances` port so it uses `ujson` on Macs
 running Sierra (10.12) and earlier.
 On High Sierra and later, `glances` still  uses `py-orjson`.

 But the bug relating to `py-orjson` still exists.

 So I think the solution is to install the last working version (3.10.13_0)
 of `py-orjson` for for the macOS 10.12 and earlier. I would also include a
 note stating that the last working version has been installed. Your
 mileage may vary..... etc....
