 What shell you use (zsh, bash, etc.) should make no difference to
 MacPorts.

 If openssl11 is failing to configure, you'll need to attach the main.log
 and config.log files so that we can investigate what went wrong and how to
 fix it.

 The setuptools `AttributeError` would be unrelated so let's not continue
 discussing it here. I see you've already filed #71934 for that.

 The kde4 ports in MacPorts are old and currently don't build on any macOS
 version. There is no kde5 in MacPorts so I assume you're trying to build
 it manually using dependencies installed by MacPorts.
