 We worked around the filesystem bug in #67336 when installing a port, but
 we might need to do the same thing in the selfupdate code.

 Anyone currently experiencing the problem can try running `sudo
 /usr/sbin/purge` to purge the disk cache. If `port` then starts working,
 that would support the filesystem bug theory.
