Comment:

 I agree the port needs to be updated. I had worked on an update a long
 time ago but didn't finish it, and I am not working on it right now. It
 was not a simple straightforward update; I was also trying to make the
 php-swoole and php-openswoole ports more consistent.

 There is also #71302 for the request to add php83-openswoole and
 php84-openswoole.
