Just FYI, while this is still broken, it is no more relevant after Iain
released his `xtools` 0.7.0. They just work on ppc64 (and on ppc too, of
course), without any need of llvm.
(llvm-7 can be built for lto support, but that needs a different branch of
xtools – or standard cctools – and none of them can build gcc for ppc64.
Specifically 0.7.0 is needed. So while lto is not there for ppc64 still,
the primary issue is resolved, and everything can build for ppc64.)
There is no other need for archaic llvm versions.
