 Okay, hard coded size targets, no problem.  I will have a few other
 requests if you don't mind, nothing complicated.  Feel free to discuss or
 disagree.

 Future tarballs: Please set 644 permission for all files, and 755 for all
 directories.

 Makefile:  Replace hard coded paths with standard build variables.
 MacPorts guide says to use $DESTDIR, but I can not figure out exactly what
 is intended for that one.

 @barracuda said by e-mail:  "If we could fix the Makefile upstream and
 avoid all those reinplaces, it would be great."  So take a look at the
 first draft Portfile above, and see what you can sensibly replace with
 standard variables.

 zlib:  Provide an option to use external zlib.  MacPorts generally prefers
 external libs for maintainability.  It looks like the only reason you
 bundled zlib was because it did not build on some systems.  That is one of
 those things that MacPorts takes care of rather nicely.
