 The errors in the log are things like this:

 '/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Extras/CoreAudio/PublicUtility/CAGuard.cpp'.
 Did you forget to declare this file as an output of a script phase or
 custom build rule which produces it? (in target 'OpenAL' from project
 'OpenAL')

 So, evidently openal relies on source code files that used to be included
 inside the Xcode app but no longer are. That would be a bug that the
 developers of openal would have to address. Maybe they already have; I
 think our openal port is out of date. We do also have a port for openal-
 soft, another implementation of openal.
