 I fixed the problem.
 I had, now that I think of it, in older releases of the OS back in 2014.
 The problem is the ever lasting problem since Solaris created /opt/local
 and kept /usr/local separate. On top of this MacOS automounts /opt.
 My previous solution was to move everything and link /opt/local
 ->/usr/local.
 This time I just linked /usr/local/share -> /opt/local/share
