 So please try the following:
 1. Get rid of other-vendor X server installations (whether from Apple or
 Xquartz), see: https://www.xquartz.org/FAQs.html
 2. Install `xorg-server` or `xorg-server-legacy` (for older macOS
 versions) port.
 3. Reboot (perhaps logging out and logging back should work, but I
 normally just reboot anyway).
 4. Try launching `abaddon`.

 That is supposed to work correctly. If you still get some error, please
 post the complete output from the terminal.
