 I'm not sure of the purpose of this ticket. I don't see anything that
 needs to be changed in MacPorts in response to what you've written.

 Many ports require an X11 server but it is the user's responsibility to
 install one, whether via the xorg-server port or some other method.

 Similarly it's the user's responsibility to read the notes that ports
 print and, as you point out in this case, to load dbus.

 I'm not sure what you mean by "a future run-time patch is required upon
 installation of garagejam".

 Are aamotsoftware and oleaamot two different GitHub accounts for the same
 person?
