 Personally, I'd go for it. You can crib loads of stuff hopefully from
 `https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/gimp-macos-build/` since it all
 uses MacPorts under the hood. I've run into some problems with hard coded
 python versions in a few dependencies so there might some challenges. We
 are going to release 3.0.2 probably on Sunday, which fixes the biggest
 issues we've found, but getting started isn't a bad idea :-) Also, build
