 I tried this based upon the preceeding:
 {{{
      if {[vercmp ${branch} == 7.4]} {
         configure.env-append \
                         LIBS=-lresolv
         patchfiles-append \
                         patch-${php}-implicit-ints.diff
     }
 }}}
 but it didn't fix the problem (the patch !is! applied)
