 in the meantime the port has been updated to version 3.13.0 and according
 to the [https://ports.macports.org/port/py312-h5py/details/ status page]
 it builds on all systems. If you're still experiencing issues after doing:

 sudo port selfupdate ; sudo port clean --all subportof:py-h5py ; sudo port
 install py312-h5py
 }}}

 then feel free to re-open this ticket and please attach the full
 {{{main.log}}} file.
