 As recently encountered with https://github.com/macports/macports-
ports/pull/28252 gameoftrees.org is blocking access from GitHub Actions.

So, that Pull Request basically looked as if it was failing the Continuous
Integration checks, because it couldn't fetch the tarball.

I communicated with stsp@ and it seems as if the host being used for
gameoftrees.org is rather small and probably can't handle much traffic and
so rather than ask them to accommodate MacPorts' use of GitHub, I
attempted some other things (making use of Thomas Adam's -portable mirror
on GitHub seemed as if it was the initial path of least resistance
insomuch as GitHub Actions access to other GitHub resources is unlikely to
be blocked) but that also seemed ill advised as can be gleaned from the
feedback received later down in that Pull Request from Thomas given the
nature of what is actually contained in that "mirror" (which varies
somewhat from the dist file tarballs on gameoftrees.org).

So, for the time being I am basically just opening this Trac issue as a
place holder to stash a Portfile for got-portable-0.112.

It functions locally OK! I am guessing others can make use of it as is and
verify that. But as it currently stands, no doubt it will also fail the
GitHub Actions portion of MacPorts' CI checks if I were to submit a new
 Pull Request.

I'm contemplating other ideas about how to effectively mirror
https://gameoftrees.org/releases/portable/ and am wondering if the
*.distfiles.macports.org infrastructure could possibly be utilized?

I don't know much of anything about that nor how it operates though so
much as I see various hostnames scroll by when I run port -v install on a
Portfile that I have updated locally before it eventually grabs the
tarball from the master_sites, so writing about that idea here more to get
the thoughts out of my head and into some documented format.

If others have ideas about hosting mirrors of the tarballs from
https://gameoftrees.org/releases/portable/ please feel free to share them
 here!

 Thanks!
