 well, you see that only on older OSes where the {{{py-pydantic}}} port is
 pinned to an earlier version that requires {{{py-cython-compat}}}. One
 other reason not to do this....

 I tried adding the a subport for Python 3.13 to {{{py-cython-compat}}} but
 it doesn't build; feel free to attempt to fix that, which will resolve
 your issue here.
