change? Python 3.13 has been MacPorts' default since January so it's about
time that variants get added to ports, what's the hold-up on doing so?
Alternatively, something to consider is to switch to a more modern Boost
version that actually supports it. The {{{boost-numpy}}} are another pain
in the behind for updating to NumPy v2 as only boost v1.87 and higher
supports that, so that's another thing to start thinking about. These
older ports should be deprecated sooner than later.

Folks are welcome to dig up the required patches for the numpy subport,
and submit a PR. I simply haven't had the time to do so yet.

I'm fine with deprecating older boost ports though. But it's not always
that simple to migrate dependent ports to newer versions.

 Help is always welcome!
