Oh I see, I wrote `/opt/local/libexec/port-tclsh` in comment:1. I meant
`/opt/local/bin/port-tclsh`.

dates from 2022
That would lend support to the idea that the problem is caused by a base
change. However, whether it indicates a base bug or an intentional change
that ports like mpstats have to adapt to, I don't know yet.
