 Try to completely uninstall MacPorts:

 ```
 sudo port uninstall go
 ```

 If that succeeds, then manually delete any Go-related paths:

 ```
 sudo rm -v /opt/local/bin/go
 sudo rm -v /opt/local/bin/gofmt
 sudo rm -v -rf /opt/local/lib/go
 ```

 Then try to reinstall Go one more time:
 ```
 sudo port install go
 ```
