 I expected that an environment variable also gets set for the `pre-*` and
 `post-*` variants of a phase that sets it. Specifically, the `SDKROOT`
 environment variable gets set automatically for the `configure` phase, but
 it seems that `pre-configure` and `post-configure`

 ports/pull/33777#discussion_r3751708877 do not set it].

 Unless there is a good reason why `pre-configure` and `post-configure`
 should not have `SDKROOT` set automatically, I think it makes sense for
 MacPorts to set it for those phases too.
