 The bug is '''still present in upstream master''' (4.05.01, Sept 2025) —
 the
 `va_copy` block is byte-identical to the 3.05.01 code at
 `yodl/root/root.h:81-88`, and the trigger is unchanged
 (`yodl/string/string.h:10` includes `../root/root.h` with `<stdarg.h>`
 only at
 line 12). So updating the port to 4.x would not obsolete this patch; it
 would
 inherit the same failure.
