 Commit `6d9edb07` (release-2.12 commit `8749f96`) introduced the use of
 `CURLOPT_NOPROXY`, which is unavailable in Apple curl prior to 10.6.

 I have a local patch that disables `no_proxy` when `CURLOPT_NOPROXY` is
 undefined, but that's obviously not a general fix.
