 I am not?!

 I do keep my `curl-ca-bundle` up to date periodically, and I also have a
 bunch of certificates installed from https://mavericksforever.com (you
 could try to see if installing the AquaProxy from there provides a
 solution). But I'm sure the crux is that I use a version of libcurl that
 exploits a different certificate store.

 With github fetches there's also the potential fallback of using
 `fetch.type git`.
