 Dear Sir,

 On my new mac powerbook 2026, I did "sudo port install avr-gdb" and got
 the following message:

 % sudo port install avr-gdb
 Error: Cannot install avr-gdb for the arch 'x86_64' because
 Error: its dependency avr-gcc is only installed for the arch 'arm64'
 Error: and does not have a universal variant.
 Error: Unable to execute port avr-gdb: architecture mismatch

 How do I resolve this? Please help.
