Comment (by ryandesign):

Two years later, the problem still happens.

In addition, the project's homepage is 404 not found.

The organization appears to have archived their entire site in 2017 and
 started fresh.

They did preserve an archive of the old site, including a copy of H5Part's
 page:

 https://dav.lbl.gov/archive/Research/AcceleratorSAPP/

 It says:

 > NOTE: H5Part has been superceded by
 [https://dav.lbl.gov/archive/Software/H5hut/ H5hut].

That link to H5hut is also an archived site. It says:

 > H5hut may be downloaded from http://amas.psi.ch/H5hut.

However, that server does not respond. archive.org has archived that page
four times. The last two times, it got a 404 response. One of the previous
two archives appears to have been a successful archive, however
archive.org will not show it to me; it redirects to the first capture of
 the 404 page.

I found GitHub repositories called H5Part and H5hut but I don't know how
 authoritative or current they are.

So. Please do something with the H5Part port. Having a port in our
collection that is unbuildable for years helps no one. If it is still
useful, please make it build. If it has been superseded by H5hut, please
add a port for H5hut and mark H5Part `replaced_by H5hut` for one year. If
neither software remains useful and there is no successor or if you no
longer wish to be listed as the port's maintainer, please delete the port
or let us know here and we can delete it.
