 I tried downgrading the errors to warnings again in recent OSes but
 without much luck so far.

 Having said that, this version is EOL for about 6 years now so you
 shouldn’t really expect too much effort in keeping this functional. Why do
 you kit need it, is there now way you can use a supported PY3 version?
