 kUSBProductString and kUSBSerialNumberString are used in /os/darwin_usb.c
 but are not available until Snow Leopard. An equivalent should be found
 for Darwin <= 9 so that libusb can build.
 I can attach a log from a Tiger machine later today, or from a Leopard
 machine this weekend. The error is the same.
