Comment:

 MacPorts does not work on or support Tiger anymore. I see that you are
 using the last version of MacPorts that supports Tiger but we only support
 the current version of MacPorts.

 You can report this bug to the developers of libusb and see if they can
 change their software so that it works on pre-Snow Leopard systems again.
 If they can't, then we can mark the port as requiring Snow Leopard or
 later.
