 I have created a ticket for the {{{simdutf}}} build failures on macOS
 10.14 Mojave and older: ticket:74252. As I stated in my initial report for
 that ticket, if {{{simdutf}}} really cannot be compiled for Mojave and
 older, then perhaps the answer would be to remove {{{+vte}}} from the
 default variants of the {{{virt-viewer}}} port on Mojave and older. This
 would at least potentially allow the {{{virt-viewer}}} port to
 successfully build on older macOSes, even though serial support for SPICE
 would be disabled by default. If this were to be done, then some
 build/install notes might also need to be added on Mojave and older
 stating that serial console support is disabled.
