 Side note: I have created a ticket for {{{vte}}} failing to build on macOS
 13 Ventura, ticket:74253. The build failure on Ventura appears to have
 nothing to do with the {{{simdutf}}} problems reported in this ticket, but
 since both this ticket and the {{{vte}}} ticket both originate from
 ticket:74211, I thought that I would include a link to the {{{vte}}}
 ticket here, just for reference.
