Comment:

 It's already been three weeks, and I have no idea how to fix this... I
 don't think the problem has anything to do with gnutls; perhaps some
 permissions in the MacPorts client itself have become corrupted, which is
 causing it to freeze. I'd really appreciate some advice on what to do and
 why this is happening.
