New description:

 nqc/nqc.cpp line 1088 — missing `fprintf(STDERR,` at the start of the line
 in `PrintVersion()` \\
 compiler/lexer.cpp — added `extern "C" { #include <stdio.h> #include
 <unistd.h> }` to fix `isatty` linker error on arm64

 macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon), darwin 25

 Workaround:

 `sudo port -s install nqc configure.compiler=macports-gcc-13` after
 manually patching both files

 ALSO

 the pre-built binary archive nqc-3.1.r6_1.darwin_25.arm64.tbz2 is broken
 so MacPorts keeps trying and failing to use it even when you specify GCC,
 which is why the `-s` flag is needed.

Comment (by ryandesign):

 If you like, you can submit a pull request to fix these issues.

 In what way is the binary broken? (Output of `sudo port -d rev-upgrade`
 would show it.)
