Some dylibs were upgraded, some compilers too. MacPorts now thinks that I
have to rebuild this port before going further, to TL '26. Builds fails.
Now, at first install it must have worked: `texlive-bin @2025.74524_1+x11
(active) requested_variants='' platform='darwin 9' archs='ppc'
date='2025-04-23T13:00:29+0200'`. I did not report that re-build failure,
hoping to solve port's problem with TL '26. But this fails as well (XeTeX
does not build, uses too modern functions, #73853). Dvisvgm 3.6 fails to
build either (#74035), so I asked Martin Gieseking for help. He sent me an
eMail with the hint that hinted to a Gentoo patch. Applying it solves
build problems with redefinitions of `getopt()` and `getenv()` on
`Leopard`. But now I hit a problem with euptex0.c which gives a variable
the name of built-in datatype of GCC 15, i.e. `bool`. Renaming it to
`my_silly_bool`, or bull, would be OK, but the file is in
`/opt/local/var/macports/build/texlive-bin-
9d7eb26d/work/build/texk/web2c`, which is the `build` and not the `sources
directory`. And I have no idea where this file euptex0.c comes from…
(leaving pTeX out from building is OK with me and a radical solution)
The rather single-sided eMail discussion is here:
