#74399: PostgreSQL18 won't run on Tahoe / M5 ?

--------------------------+--------------------------
 I just got a new Macbook M5, installed postgresql18-server.
 Server does not run.
 Maybe I miss something stupid ...

 Here is what I did :

 {{{
 sudo port install postgresql18-server
 sudo mkdir -p /opt/local/var/db/postgresql18/defaultdb
 sudo chown postgres:postgres /opt/local/var/db/postgresql18/defaultdb
 sudo su postgres -c 'cd /opt/local/var/db/postgresql18 &&
 /opt/local/lib/postgresql18/bin/initdb -D
 /opt/local/var/db/postgresql18/defaultdb'
 sudo port load postgresql18-server
 ps -ef | grep postgres
 tail -20 /opt/local/var/log/postgresql18/postgres.log
 }}}

 ps and tail return nothing. I get no error message other than that when I
 try to log in :

 {{{
 psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
     Is the server running locally and accepting
     connections on Unix domain socket "/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
 }}}

 I've been running macports postgresql for years with never a glitch. I
 installed the EDB package and it works just fine.
