contains this section to support ccache, which has been copied over from
previous `openjdk*` ports (it's also in the `openjdk11` Portfile):

I know I have `ccache_dir` configured as the default, namely
`${portdbpath}/build/.ccache` or (expanded)
`/opt/local/var/macports/build/.ccache`. Could it be that because this
directory is outside `${worksrcpath}`, the build did not have permission
to access `${ccache_dir}` directly? I'll try to test this when I have
time.
> As a workaround I could disable ccache support for `openjdk25`
completely by setting `configure.ccache no` unconditionally. Would that be
ok for you, or do you have any other ideas on how this could work with
ccache enabled?
That's probably the last resort. Let's see if my above test works first.
> By the way, MacPorts has a prebuilt binary package for `openjdk25` for
macOS 26, so I assume you have configured MacPorts to build from source?
Yep, my `macports.conf` contains
{{{
buildfromsource always
}}}
