 that can be closed in favor of this ticket)?

 73607 highlights the generic problems of mas builds requiring a Swift
 version that is newer than the Swift version supported by the latest Xcode
 on older macOS versions. mas can still be built on older macOS if Swift is
 installed outside of Xcode, e.g. via Swiftly.
