#74410: mos, mos-devel, leaf, gomodctl: build fails on go:linkname
----------------------+-----------------------------------------
Reporter: jrjsmrtn | Owner: (none)
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: Normal | Milestone:
Component: ports | Version: 2.12.6
Keywords: | Port: mos mos-devel leaf gomodctl
----------------------+-----------------------------------------
Go tightened the rules for //go:linkname, and a vendored golang.org/x/sys
predating that no longer compiles.
{{{
../../../golang.org/x/sys/unix/syscall_darwin.1_13.go:25:3: //go:linkname
must refer to declared function or variable
../../../golang.org/x/sys/unix/zsyscall_darwin_arm64.go:105:3:
//go:linkname must refer to declared function or variable
}}}
Reproduced with go 1.27.1 on macOS 26.6.2 arm64. The pinned refs are:
{{{
mos, mos-devel 5c8b2ff67527
leaf d5e6a3e2c0ae
gomodctl f84b799fce68
}}}
All four also vendor projects that have since moved to a new GitHub owner,
so
they fail at checksum before ever reaching the build. That part is fixed
for
the ports that do build in
https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/34580, which leaves these
four
out precisely because a checksum change does not help them: they need
golang.org/x/sys bumped to a version that compiles.
kubeval fails the same way and is already covered by #72088. please also
fails
to build, but in gopsutil's cgo rather than here; its checksum half is
#72874.
