Comment (by jrjsmrtn):
The libraries MacPorts lacked are now handled:
* CRoaring, pcg and SimSIMD: new ports submitted as
https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/34654 (croaring),
https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/34655 (pcg-cpp) and
https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/34656 (simsimd). simsimd
stays on 6.5.16: SimSIMD became NumKong in 7.0 with a different API, and
ladybug still calls the 6.x one.
* fast_float: the existing fast-float port.
* miniz: no port needed. ladybug uses only its zlib-compatible API, so it
now links zlib.
* fastpfor and alp stay bundled. ladybug packs 8- and 16-bit integers
with routines its fastpfor copy took from DuckDB, which upstream FastPFor
lacks, and its alp copy has a different API from upstream ALP, which has
no releases.
ladybug's test suite now runs in `port test` (2735 tests; the four that
download extensions from ladybug's server are skipped). The ladybug update
will follow once the three ports are merged.
