rb-mysql compile error

I noticed that rb-mysql5 no longer exists, from googling it appears that it
got merged with rb-mysql.  When trying to install rb-mysql, using ruby
1.8.5and mysql5, I get the error listed below.  Has anyone else had
any luck with
this combo or is there a known issue?
