We're headed to X.org, though we're not quite there yet. Apple has
been steadily upstreaming its fixes back to X.org and got quite a bit
of stuff into X11R7.2, but not enough to make it a total drop-in
replacement for XFree86 yet. That's definitely the goal for X11R7.3
and, of course, what ships with Leopard.
