Problem installing ghc

I upgraded to Macports version 1.600. That didn't seem to make a difference.

Since I thought that I need a binary version of ghc to bootstrap, I
installed one from here:
http://www.haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_682.html#macosxintel

If I install this into /usr/local, sudo port install ghc fails with
the same error, although the binary ghc seems to work ok. If I install
this into /opt/local, I seems to at least start compiling ghc. I then
get the following error:
