Two questions

Why is it that MacPorts has

iTerm
Adium
Growl
shiira
TeXshop
istumbler

and a bunch of others that already carry much better selfupdate
mechanisms? It seems a waste of time and resources. Most of them are
almost always behind current versions anyway. Why not drop them
completely?

Why is it that now at macforge.org finding ports is so much more
difficult and unpleasant especially when compared to the old
darwinports site? One would think that a prominent link to the list
of ports should exist somewhere at the front page but no. We have to
dig it in the source trunk! Most of us don't want to browse an awful
"trac" tree list. From the common user point of view something
similar to Fink or to the old darwinPorts site was much better.

Thanks
