newbe install question

Greetings,

When I try to do a selfupdate this is what I get:

Shegundala:~ kimyoung$ port selfupdate
DarwinPorts base version 1.320 installed
Error: /opt/local/bin/port: selfupdate failed: Error: rsync failed in  
selfupdate
Shegundala:~ kimyoung$

Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?
