I do not know why you are experiencing that error. xrender is  
installed and presumably working fine in my port tree. However, there  
may be a newer version of xrender available. (A version 0.9.2 is  
listed on some but not all sites.) I'm attempting to determine if  
that 0.9.2 is a good version to use, and if so I will update the  
portfile.
