gtk+ 2.10 fails to install

Hello everyone,

I would like to use the Sler tool from RibKit and gtk+ >= 2.8 is  
required. Installation of version 2.10 fails with this message:

I am not a programmer. I am just learning RenderMan RIB scripting and  
shader language.

Any help would be appreciated.
