Error installing BitchX

I get the following error upon installing BitchX

Warning: the following items did not execute (for bitchx):
org.macports.activate org.macports.build org.macports.destroot
org.macports.installError: Status 1 encountered during processing.

Any clues what would cause that?  What other information would you like to see.  I've already
tried a port clean and reinstall to no avail.  Everything else is up to
date.  Thanks.
